Or this week’s discussion board, I want to reflect on the previous pages in this module.
In this discussion board, I want to you to show an understanding of the material covered in the previous pages. Please use the terminology or ideas presented in the previous pages. Failure to do so, will result in a low discussion board grade.
INSTRUCTIONS:
This discussion board will focus on the Supreme Court cases you chose to read about. Please answer the following question:
1.) You were asked to learn about at least 3 Supreme Court cases found in the previous pages of the module. For your discussion board, please, in your own words, summarize and discuss TWO of them. Envision you are talking to someone who has never heard about this case. In your post, please give a quick summary of what you learned about the case but focus on your analysis of it; meaning, what do you think about the case and what do you think is the significance of each case you discuss.
For your peer response posts, you should primarily reflect on what you learned from the original posts. If the case(s) are the same as yours, you could build off of what your peer posted, but if their post was about a different case, you could broadly discuss what you found interesting/educational in their post.
Your FIRST post should be a minimum of 200 words. Your SECOND and THIRD posts, where you respond to your peers’ posts, each should be a minimum of 100 words.
Also remember, your replies should be academic in nature. You should be building or expanding on what your peers said, and your replies should be constructive. You are free to to disagree with a post, but please do so in a way where you are not insulting or putting someone down. Instead, you can say, “I understand your point, but I see it differently…” and then proceed to give your point of view.
