select a few prominent chroniclers of King Philip’s War (examples: Rowlandson, Mather, Wheeler, Hubbard) and explain and describe how their writings and expressions served to reestablish and reclaim an English identity distinct and opposed to an Indian identity. For each chronicler selected, evaluate how successful their writing was in maintaining this distinct English/Indian divide.
3-4 pages in length, computer-printed, and double-spaced with
one-inch margins. Use an appropriate citation style (either footnotes or internal citations). The use of citations and further manuscript preparation information will be discussed in lecture and is explained in the accompanying Guide to Writing Papers. Plagiarism in any form will not be tolerated and will result in a failing grade. If you have any questions please consult the professor well in advance of the paper due date.
