You are required to simulate the effects of energy storage and a StatCom on a network with varying
power factor and load characteristics. You will be investigating the difference in performance of the
network when exposed to different load characteristics, energy storage and a StatCom device. The
simulations you will be conducting are sections of existing commercial infrastructure. Load
characteristics for buildings should be assumed based on probable loads; e.g. technology buildings
may contain numerous computers and florescent lighting.
