Hello fellow classmates, and professor Madison
What is critical thinking as it applies to the administration of criminal justice? The criminal justice system was established because the government wanted a way to establish social order, wile also still being able to maintain control. Critical thinking, moral behavior and ethics are all a big part of any field within the criminal justice
system. The criminal justice system consists of three main sectors: law enforcement, adjudication and corrections programs. Within the law enforcement sector detectives/ investigators critical thinking to collect evidence, solve a crime, and to determine who could be considered a suspect. In the adjudication sector both the prosecutors and defense attorneys must use critical thinking when preparing/ arguing for or against the accused party. Lastly the corrections sector uses critical thinking to be able to evaluate the progress of individuals, sponsor reductions in sentences and maintain order within prison facilities.
How does the relationship among ethics, critical thinking, and behavior impact the criminal justice system from an administrative standpoint? When you think about ethics and critical thinking together your probably thinking about the good/bad that would come from making either the right/wrong decision. When a particular individual knows that they are making a sound decision with enough facts/supporting details to validate their decision will usually result in the individual having a sound peace of mind, seem more relaxed, and even seem to be a lot.
What is critical thinking as it applies to the administration of criminal justice? Critical thinking is crucial when processing any type of criminal justice issue and I feel many people that are apart of the criminal justice system whether your position is behind a desk or either on the street dealing with the criminals and crime face to face. Thinking out situations and thinking crucially is something that many law enforcers must abide by. The truth to thinking critically will allow you the person to make better and wiser decisions and not based or think upon an opinion or even a hunch but thinking out in a strategic pattern and in assuring that all protocols and possibilities is served out. By allowing thinking to be a useful tools could possibly save lives and keep the law enforcers safe as well. All situation can be a life threatening event by using the proper measure this will allow the person that is serving as the law enforcers or any personnel that is working in the criminals justice systems.
