For Assignment 2 the goal is to look at health programs/interventions and analyze how they are culturally competent.
Do some research on some existing health interventions / programs that address health disparities among a particular race/ethnic group. Pick 2 specific interventions / programs and tell me as much as you can about them. Include the name and website of the program. You can find specific ones all over the internet. For instance, if I’m looking at programs that target Hispanics and Diabetes, do a google search for “Hispanic Diabetes Interventions” or “Latino Diabetes Programs”.
Once you find 2 different programs/interventions I want you to tell me specific details on the services they offer and how they are culturally competent. Tell me why they are successful or unsuccessful? How do they accommodate and target the racial/ethnic group they are trying to service? Do they properly address the disparity? What elements does the program have that make it successful? How does this program successfully reach the population that it is trying to serve. How is this program culturally competent?
Please write a 2 single spaced page paper that reflects on these questions. All assignments must be no more than size 12 font Times New Roman, minimum 2 single spaced pages in length, 1 inch margins, include cover page, with proper APA citations when necessary. For full credit please write closer to 2 full pages. Remember I also take quality into consideration. Remember to use citations for any information you use.
