Glenfield Graphic Design You are an intern at Glenfield Graphic Design, a firm that specializes in designing fund-raising materials, including newsletters, for nonprofit organizations. As part of your training, your supervisor asks you to review examples of newsletter designs on the web, and then re-create the design of one of those newsletters in a Word document. Instead of writing the complete text of a newsletter, you can use placeholder text. Complete the following steps:
1. Open a new, blank document, and then save it as Newsletter Design in the location specified by your instructor.
2. Open your browser and search online for images of sample newsletters by searching for the keywords newsletter image. Review at least a dozen images of newsletters before picking a style that you want to re-create in a Word document. The style you choose should contain at least two pictures. Keep the image of the newsletter you select visible in your browser so you can return to it for reference as you work.
3. In your Word document, create the first page of the newsletter. To generate text that you can use to fill the page, type =lorem() and then press the Enter key.
4. Add at least two pictures to the newsletter, using clip art from Office.com. Rotate or flip pictures and remove the background from photos as necessary to make them work in the newsletter layout.
5. Make any other changes necessary so that the layout and style of your document match the newsletter example that you found online.
6. Somewhere in the document, attach a comment that reads I used the following webpage as a model for this newsletter design:, and then include the URL for the newsletter image you used as a model. To copy a URL from a browser window, click the URL in the browser’s Address box, and then press the Ctrl+C keys.
7. Save the document, close it, and then close your browser.
