Be sure tо аddress both parts of the assіgnment in one complete essay:
1. Apply Erikson’s theory to yourself or someone in your life (child, parent, etc.). Identify the stage you or the person you are discussing is in, and describe (in your own words) what Erikson proposed as the life crisis or developmental task of the stage (pgs 29/30 in chapter word doc ).
–apply it to my son, Noah age 2 years old.—in the second stage of toddlerhood.
2. Discuss how this stage is being experienced by the individual, and indicate whether the crisis of the stage is being resolved positively or negatively; discuss behavior that led you to this conclusion.
–maybe discuss potty training as his experience (is being independent vs shame/doubt) and that he is adjusting well, crisis is being resolved positively (was somewhat resistant in beginning, shy about taking off diaper but once we reassured him it was ok he accepted it and is eager to use his potty now that he knows it’s good); behaviors that led to conclusion: him being shy in the beginning, then accepting of letting us sit him on potty, then him asking to go to the potty then him going to the potty by himself completely. (Note: he’s only 2 so this is still rough and has plenty of accidents but is aware its ok and not “bad” –Authoritative parenting)

Review guidelines:

  • Just a reminder: an essay has an introduction with thesis statement, the body (made up of paragraphs – each of which has a topic sentence), and a conclusion.
  • Do not use direct quotes {verbatim information} of any kind, of any length. Any information borrowed from our textbook or an outside source must be paraphrased. You must also include proper in-text citation and a reference section. Failure to paraphrase or failure to include in-text citation and a reference section will mean a score of 0.

Be sure to read all of the Chapter prior to attempting this assignment. -(I will upload a copy of chapter section from our textbook, summary is at the bottom of the doc will help know which section to read) here is the info to cite it as well in references.

*Remember to paraphrase any “borrowed” information and properly cite. For this assignment, you will likely need to use outside sources.

*Make sure they are scholarly sources. NO website sources (.com)

*Do not write this assignment as question/answer. Put everything together as one

complete essay.

  • make sure to cite majority from textbook.
  • make sure to have an actual intro and conclusion.
  • Do not use: this paper will…. etc. as thesis.
  • Papers must be written with organization, clarity, and elaboration
  • Write essays as though a novice to the topics will be your reader.
  • Most textbook based courses (like this one) require students to use textbook terms in essays. Define those terms in your own words (paraphrase) and give examples/discuss.
  • Only APA citation and scholarly sources are permitted
