Background:
In this unit, we are discussing the issue of enhancing human beings, and the rhetorical strategies of concession and refutation, as well as the strategy of writing for the purpose of the inquiry. in your third essay, you will need to incorporate concession and refutation as you discuss and make an argument about the topic of genetic and medical enhancement of people.
Your Task:
Write an essay in which you discuss the issue of enhancing human beings. You must answer the question “How much is too much enhancement” and argue your position. You will need to make use of at least two of the articles in chapter 17 of our textbook and have paragraphs that show concession and refutation. In addition, remember to include a “so what” in your conclusion.
Make sure to have a clear and arguable thesis in your essay. You must take a stance as to what you think is the boundary between acceptable enhancement and unacceptable enhancement of human beings and support this thesis throughout your essay, using your own reasoning (Logos) and at least 2 of the articles in chapter 17.
