As technology advances and new materials are synthesized, it seems that there
are certain products that receive only minimal, if any, modernization attempts.
Among these are the shopping carts that are used in grocery stores. There is a
tendency to save parking spaces by not designating a return cart area. Leaving
carts in the parking lots may lead to serious accidents and car damage.
Furthermore, many customers do not fill their carts when shopping; however,
they do not like to carry baskets. Other customers like to sort products as they
shop. Develop an objective tree to clarify the need statement and prioritize the
objectives laid out in the problem statement. You may add features that may not
be listed clearly in the problem statement but will give an additional advantage
to the proposed design.
