Using the QEP guidelines, establish why you chose the genre and composer that you are describing, and what it represents in our culture.
Provide your thesis statement/ question at issue
Body: – the 4 components below all intertwine within the content that you provide == Make sure that you document within the paper through MLA format by citing anything that is quoted, paraphrased, or not previously known. Remember this is a research paper not opinion; so, documented research must be provided.
Provide background information on the genre that you chose
Provide biographical background information on the performer/ musician
Describe how the song(s) you chose address social issues of race, class, gender ,sexuality or other definers of identity that you’ve chosen.
Describe how your genre and/or musician correspond to the SLU Core Value of Excellence.
