Your task in this assignment is to rhetorically examine these two articles, and how Crenshaw is framing social justice work. In doing so, you will need to understand Crenshaw’s theory of intersectionality as it connects to race and gender. As you read both articles, remember that they are by the same author and written over 20 years apart.
Questions to consider: How does Crenshaw critique social justice movements as it connects to intersectionality? Does she make specific reference to rhetoric? Why do you think she does/does not? In the 2016 article, Crenshaw argues that social justice aims are not productive if not taken with an intersectional lens. Do you agree with this? Why or why not? How does your current work connect or disconnect with her theory?
Your reflection should not simply focus on your personal thoughts, but rather it should provide an overview of how the readings connect
