In the previous exercise, we asked you to examine how you currently spend your time. Now consider how you would like to allocate time in the future. Make a list of the things that are important to you, and identify how much time you would like to devote to them. Do not start with what you are doing and work from there. Instead, first list what is important to you, and then look at how you are actually spending your time. You may discover significant discrepancies between what you say matters to you and what you do. Based on this awareness, work to create a schedule that will allow you to do more of what you have identified as your top priorities.
