If you have access to SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), create a dataset that can be used for calculating descriptive statistics and making graphs. When you open SPSS, the title of the page will be Untitled SPSS Data Editor. The tab at the bottom (Data View) tells you that you are in the right screen to enter your data. The variables are named across the top, and each number on the left corresponds to a different subject. Once you have entered the scores, it is best to open the tab named Variable View and specify characteristics of each variable. Click on Analyze to see a number of different procedures. Select Descriptive Statistics and then Descriptives and Explore. To do the correlation, click on Correlate and then Bivariate. Click on Graphs, then Legacy Dialogs, to find Histogram and Scatterplot. Use these procedures to do the calculations in problem 3 and confirm your work.
