• Select the correct tools, equipment and materials for removing, inspecting and repairing tyre and tubes such as; wheel and tyre lifting equipment, tyre gauge, tyre cage, buffing rasp, Remer, patch roller/stitcher, T-handle needle tool, Schrader valve core removing tool, wheel weight hammer, tyre crayon, tyre depth gauge, vulcanising cement fluid, cleaning solvent, plug patches, tyre repair patches, tyre valves, tyre changing machine, tyre iron levers, bead seat ring, tyre mounting paste or wax, dip tank and checked that the tools and equipment are safe to use. • follow the workplace safe work procedures, vehicle workshop manual, tyre manufacture workshop manual, tube manufacture workshop manual and tyre machine operating instructions, using the correct tools and equipment, such as; tyre changing machine, tyre iron levers, wheel weight hammer and Schrader valve core removing tool, safely deflated the tyre following the deflating and inflating tyres and tube procedures, mark the wheel weight and valve position on the tyre and safely removed the wheel weight, tyre and tubes from the wheel assembly. • Follow the vehicle manufactures workshop manual and tyre manufacture workshop manual, inspected the condition of tyre, tube and wheel assembly for rim damage or cracks for hub mounting points wear and wheel nuts/lugs holes for damage, inspected the condition of tyre assembly for rapid wear at the centre or shoulders or damage like crack tread including for wear using tyre depth gauge and the tube for deterioration, and located the source of the leak, then reported findings and recommendations on the Job Card and to the customer or workplace supervisor. • Use and follow the vehicle manufactures workshop manual, tyre manufacture workshop manual, and tube manufacture workshop manual work out the best way to repair the tyre and tube, and repaired the tyre and tube using tools such as; buffing rasp, Remer, patch roller/stitcher, T-handle needle tool, and materials such as; vulcanising cement fluid, cleaning solvent, plug patches, tyre repair patches, tyre valves without causing damage to the environment by capping vulcanising cement fluid, and cleaning solvent bottles when not in use. • Follow the workplace safe work procedures, vehicle workshop manual, tyre manufacture workshop manual, tube manufacture workshop manual and tyre machine operating instructions, using the correct tools and equipment, such as; tyre changing machine, tyre iron levers, wheel weight hammer and Schrader valve core removing tool, safely installed the tyre and tubes to the wheel assembly using the tyre machine and tyre mounting paste or wax and safely inflated the tyre to the correct tyre pressure following the deflating and inflating tyres and tube procedures using tyre gauge and tyre cage (if required) and refitted the wheel weight in the correct position without causing any damage wheel, tyre and equipment. • Follow the workplace safe work procedures, vehicle workshop manual, tyre manufacture workshop manual, and tube manufacture workshop manual correctly check that the tyre and tube are fitted to wheel assembly and recheck tyre pressure. • Carry out a final inspection of the customers wheel assembly to ensure that the repairs completed are to the workplace repair standards and the wheel assembly is ready to be given back to the customer. • Clean the work area of any waste and disposed recyclable and non-recycle waste into correct waste or recycling bins. • Clean and check tools and equipment used for correct operation and tagged out and report any faulty tools and equipment. • Complete and finalise the Job Card/Repair Order detailing the inspection and repair
