 Your written draft should include a combination of paraphrases, summaries, direct quotes, and
your own analysis to support your argument, as well as your rebuttal.
 Your thesis statement and topic sentences should be written in your own words. They should not
contain an in-text citation.
 Your background, reasons, and counterarguments should offer credible evidence from outside
sources to support your ideas and be properly cited.
 In addition to offering credible evidence, you will also offer your own observations and analysis
to further support your ideas.
