Context
The MIS101 Information Systems for Business is designed for you to first explore the foundations of
computer architecture including hardware, software and peripherals as well as their relevance
within business context. You will also learn foundational skills such as logic, mathematics for
computing, business process architecture and IT for business organisations. In this assessment, you
will demonstrate your understanding of the computing elements covered in Modules 1.1 to 2.2 and
their roles in a simple case study.

To start this assessment, you need to first access the Torreate Briefing Document, which is the case
study for this assessment. You task is to identify the hardware, software, data, database, network,
and security elements used in the IS of the business. The next step is to thoroughly discuss, analyse,
and criticise the role of each of the software elements used in the business model. Your report may
layout future directions or recommendations for the reader clearly based on the analysis from the
report. Please do not forget to include introduction and conclusion to your report.
There is no specific format for the assessment. You are expected to cite all the academic references
that you used in the body of the report conforming to the APA referencing style.
