Project Question
Introduction:
· Financial analysis is the process of evaluating businesses, projects, budgets, and other finance-related transactions to determine their performance and suitability. It is the most important tools that uses financial decision-maker.
· It is used to analyze whether an entity is stable, solvent, liquid, or profitable enough to warrant a monetary investment. It also determines a company’s health and stability.
· Financial analysis gives an understanding about risk and probability of any company by analyzing reported financial information.
Required:
Download 2018/2019 annual report of any nonfinancial company listed on Kuwait Stock Exchange. Use the audited financial statements in the chosen annual report to conduct the following analyses:
1) Liquidity Position (Current Ratio, Quick Ratio)
2) Efficiency (Inventory Turnover, Accounts Receivable Turnover, Average Collection Period, Fixed Assets Turnover, Total Assets Turnover)
3) Leverage (Total Debt Ratio, Long-term Debt Ratio, Total Debt to Equity, Long -term Debt to Total Equity)
4) Coverage (Times Interest Earned Ratio, Cash Coverage).
5) Profitability (Gross Profit Margin, Operating Profit Margin, Net Profit Margin, Return on Total Assets, Return on Equity
Based on the above calculations, identify the main strengths and weaknesses of the company with reasons.
