Hi folks, as you know by now, icons are a major element of Byzantine art. The word “icon” in the Byzantine sense has a complex, layered meaning. Then, please answer this question: What makes your selected image an icon? Your answer should include formal analysis of the image, iconographical analysis, and some iconological information about the Byzantine Empire.
The scenario is based on The Fenwick Arms Pub in Lancashire as featured on the TV series “Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares”. You should watch this program as part of your secondary research activities. The business is facing bankruptcy and staff morale is at an all-time low. A rival pub has just opened down the road and the business needs a strategy to turn itself around and beat the competition
