In this Task, the student will show evidence of his/her skills and knowledge in Adobe Illustrator tasks relevant to the Textile Clothing and Footwear industry’s workplace requirements. These will include rendering fashion illustrations and trade drawing for specification sheets. These 5 Outcomes (computer generated works) MUST BE COMPLETED and be submitted in CONNECT GN2009 Dropbox and backed up on the students portable hard drive device. Students MUST submit ALL completed outcomes to be demonstrate knowledge, skills and understanding. Students MUST attend enough classes to complete learning outcomes. Materials to be supplied: Computers with the full Adobe Suite, templates for fashion illustrations, textile designs, exemplers of all expectation. Work, Health and Safety: Work safe practices in the computer rooms include: wearing enclosed shoes, taking regular rest (approx every 15mins the student should stretch neck and shoulders), hair must be tied back to meet the campus policies. Students that find they suffer from vision tiredness should be seen by an optomitrist. Assessment Criteria: To achieve a satisfactory result, your assessor will be looking for your ability to demonstrate the following key skills/tasks/knowledge to an acceptable industry standard: • Show evidence of following WHS requirements • Complete all class work and outcomes to industry standard • Submit evidence of Illustrator workings/saved data/layers • Submit evidence of Powerpoint workings/saved data Students will be observed each week in class to assess them in: • Technology is used according to WH&S practices (enclosed shoes worn, long hair is tied back, no food or drinks in computer room, rest breaks every 10mins) • Student followed standard operating procedures, including PPE’s (enclosed shoes to be worn in computer room) and ergonomic practises (students are to only use chairs provided and should work with a relaxed and comfortable posture) • Identify, read, interpret and follow information on briefs, work specifications, work instructions, and other reference material. • Demonstrated an understanding and ability of •file structure and storage •quality standards and practices •types and sources of data • Demonstrated practical uses of software application functions • Demonstrated evidence of recording and reporting practices Teacher assistance will be given to clarify and confirm details of tasks as required. Teacher also available for assistance outside of class times if appointment requested and booked.
