Leadership Responsibilities/Accountabilities Portion

Facility Presentation Portion
Students must:
Present how they have become an effective leader, utilizing demonstrated characteristics. This can be in the current work setting (if student currently works in a leadership position) or an imagined leadership setting.
**What does this mean?

  • It means that you need to ‘develop’ a facility which you are the ‘leader’ for the purpose of this assignment
  • You must define your facility…What type…how many beds (if acute care)…how many staff (what’s your team like)…among many other things covered in Module 2…
  • You must discuss applicable legal and ethical issues, cultural development, team creation, and coaching skills. You will want to support this content with a citation.

If you already work as a Nursing Leader…you may (and should) use your real facility.
If you do not work in a Leadership position, you are going to put yourself in a leadership position for this assignment, so you need to ‘create’ a ‘facility’ to lead.
Your Facility Presentation Portion must include:

  • The above ‘facility’ basics…
  • Legal and Ethical Considerations
  • Cultural Development
  • Team Creation
  • Coaching Skills
  • Andanything else imagined…
