How does this strategy grid compare to the Four Actions Framework from Kim and Mauborgne’s (2005) Blue Ocean Strategy book?

Read the Kim et al. (2015) article and the Alcacer (2015) reading for this session. Using the “Deployment, Development, Deepening” Strategy grid (pages 6-11 in Alcacer) and supplemental research from Kim et al. (2015) write a “business brief” concerning the following:

  1. Choose an international expansion (company/product) that you are familiar with (it could be your own company or another).
  2. Analyze what strategy the corporation is or seems to be using in the launch of this expansion. You only need to choose one of the strategies and develop it for this assignment. Column one of the grid on page 11 [i.e. goal(s), product, value chain, location, capabilities, organization, ownership] provides you with all the areas you should cover for your chosen company/product and identified strategy. Give specific company/product examples for each issue within the strategy you have identified.
  3. How does this strategy grid compare to the Four Actions Framework from Kim and Mauborgne’s (2005) Blue Ocean Strategy book?

Your business brief should be two pages long, not including cover and reference pages, and be formatted according to APA guidelines.
