A project is a temporary undertaking aimed at creating a result, product or service (PMI, 2008, p. 5). A project being temporary implies it has a start and end time. Various organizations in the world of today conduct their project management by using program and portfolio management. The strategies and goals of these organizations are linked to the organization’s individual projects. This paper gives insights about The Youth Development Organization which uses projects on a routine basis to realize its strategic goals and objectives. This is an Organization based in the United States which aims at tackling major issues to do with youth development.
