The report will use accepted academic frameworks, theoretical models and/or concepts to
underpin its findings. You will use these theories to help you review your chosen workplace
and the industry it operates in and to identify skills, experience, competencies and behaviours
you can personally develop, to enhance your employability and potential for advancement in
the future.
On completion, Assessment 2 can become your short term “roadmap” to a successful career!

business research report, of 2,500 words and with four main sections:

data to inform your report. This might include speaking with key
stakeholders in your industry/organisation as well as reviewing
organisational reports and company collateral.

a) personal (what skills, strengths and behaviours can you personally
develop further), and
b) industry (what general skills and behaviours are/will be needed in
the industry in the future.
 The focus of your research should take into consideration key skills,
experience, competencies and behaviours that will be needed in the
future, within your specialism.
 Clearly identify the specific skills, experience, competencies and
behaviours you can personally develop, to enhance your employability and
