This course approaches environmental science by examining six basic interrelated themes:the impact of human population growth on our environment, the necessity of sustainability practices for a manageable environment, maintaining a global perspective on solutions and outcomes, improving an urbanized world in which most of us live and work, the interaction of people and nature as they share a common history and future, and the interaction between science and values and how they work together  in our search for necessary solutions.
