## calculate the torque on the motor if the efficiency is 90%

A winding drum of mass a 400kg and 2m effective diameter is raising a cage of mass of 2000kg by a light rope . The radius of gyration of the cage is 1m. A balanced mass of 500kg is also used as a counter weight . The resistance to both the motion of both cage and balanced mass is 0.5 N/kg. The drum is driven by an electric motor through a reduction gear system with a ratio of 4:1. If the cage has to accelerate upward at 2m/s2 calculate the torque on the motor if the efficiency is 90%
