Results of a study to assess attitudes toward reading of 35 second-grade students from two different classrooms in the school are given. Students were administereda survey measuring attitudes toward reading at the beginning of the year (pretest) and again at the end of the year (posttest). During the year, the teachers of both classes designed a series of weekly activities designed to enhance students’ attitudes toward reading.
