The Tiny Toy Company makes three types of new toys: the tiny tank, the tiny truck, and the tiny turtle. Plastic used in one unit of each is 1.5, 2.0 and 1.0 pounds, respectively. Rubber for one unit of each toy is 0.5, 0.5, and 1.0 pounds, respectively. Also, each tank uses 0.3 pounds of metal and the truck uses 0.6 pounds of metal during production. The average weekly availability for plastic is 16,000 pounds, 9,000 pounds of metal, and 5,000 pounds of rubber. It takes two hours of labor to make one tank, two hours for one truck, and one hour for a turtle. The company allows no more than 40 hours a week for production (priority #1). Finally, a brief word about Final Projects, which we will discuss more extensively in class this week and next.
Your Final Project may address any aspect of the Civil Rights Movement and/or contemporary organizing using anygenre and any tools. This means that you may write a research essay (1,500 words or more); create music; explore artistic expression; produce a podcast; conduct interviews; make a video; reflect on anything that you feel is connected to the material; write about the present through the lens of the past; create a zine; talk about your own organizing and lessons/tools to share; whatever else.
You may explore something related to your major concentration, or try something new. You may work alone or with others in the course, depending on your interests.

Apostle “Kojo Safo” popularly known as “KANTANKA (KTA)” is one of the renowned entrepreneurs in Ghana. He manufactures cars, agriculture light and heavy-duty machinery just to mention a few. His products have attracted many investors both local and foreign. However, sales of his manufactured cars in particular, have seen very little patronage in Ghana. The argument is that; the cars have not been properly tested but have been given the green light by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) to be used in Ghana. Most of the cars on our roads today are accident cars imported from the western world. It is being debated that these imported cars contribute immensely to the high road accident cases in Ghana. The government has decided to charge 0.5 % tax….
A government agency is asking your help to establish a model to predict State Final Demand (SFD) for every state in Australia. The proposed model must be able to produce quarterly forecast of SFD for all states in Australia and the forecast horizon should be at least 4 steps ahead (forecast for next year). Please answer each of the following questions. Please label your solution to each part. (a) Provide a concise description of SFD and its components. What does these measure and why is it important for managing state economy? (b) How many SFD data series does the Australian Bureau of Statistics provide? What are their differences? Which one would you use for forecasting purposes and why? (c) What is your modelling strategy/approach and what metric would….
Lyn is working for a bank services company that builds technologies to enable integration of ATM (Automatic Teller Machines) and mobile (phone) banking using apps. The system has been running for five years now. Yesterday, the government banking watchdog approached you to ask some questions about two suspicious transactions on your system that look like criminal money laundering (where criminals put money through banks so that they look like legitimate transactions and then transfer the funds to other accounts, sometimes internationally). You have been told that each unreported transaction (of more than $5,000 deposit or transfer) will result in a fine of $15,000. You have now checked your system and in fact you have identified more than 50,000 similar potentially illegal transactions. Checking the system software, you can….
A commonly stated argument in favour of Open Source software is that “many eyes make bugs shallow” i.e. with a large number of developers reviewing the code bugs should be discovered and fixed with relative ease. Recent examples suggest that this might not be quite true.
Research one of the recent high profile vulnerabilities discovered in Open Source software (Heartbleed, Shellshock, Drupageddon, Dirty Cow, etc.). Provide a report (see Assessment brief for required layout, structure and marking rubric), illustrating the programming flaw involved, the changes required to make the code safe and examining the reasons that the bugs may have existed for so long and methods to prevent future instances of similar bugs.
Please note: do your own research on an Open Source software other than the….
n Section 2.3,we described a program that copies the contents of one file to a destination file. This program works by first prompting the user for the name of the source and destination files. Write this program usingeither the Windows or POSIX API. Be sure to include all necessary error checking, including ensuring that the source file exists. Once you have correctly designed and tested the program, if yoused a system that supports it, run the program using a utility that traces system calls. Linux systems provide the strace utility, and Solaris and Mac OS X systems use the dtrace command. As Windows systems donot provide such features, you will have to trace through the Windows version of this program using a debugger.
Accounting can be dated back to more than 3000 years ago when the Egyptians ruled, they developed a method to manage and monitor the taxation of crops. Civilizations after Egypt and during the Industrial Revolution, took these accounting principles and expanded upon it. They made major steps towards cost accounting which documented salaries, cost expenses, and other expenses which were recorded separately (Stefan et al., 2018). Between the 1950’s and 1980’s, managerial accounting began to take on roles in planning and control practices (Stefan et al., 2018). Since that time, accounting has evolved as complexities in businesses have evolved. Managerial accounting originally was concerned solely with the matter of cost but has now expanded into a much more diverse field focused on future events. The push that helped….
